Stuff and Things

Today I've come to work with my husband. I'm sitting in Bruce's office (his boss) and am supposed to do some work. Bah! I don't like work.
So why have I come to work with my husband??? No, this is not a regular occurance, it's just that we're heading off to Cambridge for the weekend once he's finished work and it makes more sense for me to come in to work with him rather than him have to go home and pick me up and then go. Cos like, that would just be a waste of time.

I'm quite looking forward to this weekend. It will be nice to get out of Bristol and just chill for a bit (although I do have loads of work I need to be doing). Owen and 2 friends, Tom&Lisa, will be there for a bit too, so that should be kewl. Unfortunately, there's no double bed for us, so for the 1st time since we got married, we'll have to sleep in separate beds. I know it sounds silly, but i'll miss being able to snuggle up to my man before we fall asleep and I'll miss him being beside me if I waken in the night.

On Tuesday I was majorly stressing about something. It was something very important, but stressing didn't help. I was chatting to Loz about it online and she said she'd pray for me (ta!!). She sent me a txt later on that evening to see how it had gone, and my phone battery promptly died so I never replied. Soweeeee. So then I got a call the next day to see if I was ok cos I'd not replied :) It made me feel happy. Thanks Loz :)

I've got so much work to do for uni still. It sucks. I hate it. Grrrrr. Stupid not being well when I should have done them before. Grrrrrr. Just means I've got loads now. D'oh!
Hopefully I'll be disciplined enough to get lots done while we're in Cambridge ... Tris, please make me do work, even if I'm being stubborn and tell you I don't want to or just give you the evil scowel. Please!!! I need to work.

I start my new job September 4th. I'm a little bit scared about it, there is going to be soooo much to learn and I'm a little bit worried I won't cope with it. I guess most ppl feel that going into a new job. Still, it's in an area I've wanted to work for a while. I'm going to be working in a call centre for a holiday company. I've wanted to work in travel for a good while now. It's a step up from where I was working. Better pay, better incentives and the possibility to actually progress in the company. I start fulltime for training, but that lasts 2.5weeks and then it will be part-time hours. It means after training I'll be back to working Saturdays, so I'll be back to never seeing my husband, lol. But it's a new challenge, so I guess in a way I'm really looking forward to it.

It's kinda worked out really well. God has been fantastic. The job came up at the perfect time. I started looking on the Tuesday afternoon, came across an ad for an information evening for the new place that night, went to that, got called back for an interview on the Thursday morning, then the next Thursday had a call to say I had a job. There were a few other things going on with my old work which made it even more amazing to see God's timing and how he intervened in a few areas. But, I start work when my coursework is due to be handed in (works out really well cos then I'm not working when I should be doing uni work) and the training is fulltime until I'm starting back to uni, which means I get the training in before I start back, plus the chance to earn extra money, cos the training is paid.

Right, it's coming up to 9 o'clock and we're outta here just after 11 or so. I guess I better get my ass in gear and start doing something productive, rather than blogging!!!!!!!
We've got the last episode of Dr Who to watch when we get to Cambridge - we didn't get to see it cos we were on honeymoon, so Tris got his mum to tape it. Wooohooo!!! Not that I can actually really remember what the last one we saw was about, but I remember we watched it on Teleport replay at about 11pm on the night before we were going on honeymoon, we'd got back from Cardiff that evening and hadn't even packed for Fuerteventura, but we had to make sure we got to watch Dr Who!!!!

Anyways....gotta fly. Have a fun bankhol weekend every1 :)

LOL Kristie.. You Rock. Dr Who is just some Dude who has turned into a scifi tv show over here. I have only seen a few episodes of the new one but once you're into it you're addicted (apparently).
